Blasterman's Latest
In case you haven't been watching Brickshelf lately, Blasterman has been making some new customs
Various Custom Figs
And then there is the very new stuff:
Posable Legs
Another piece of work by Blasterman that takes the customization field to the next level.

I don't like the legs. With all that custom armor, arms and legs they don't even look like LEGO. But I really do like the new helm and can't wait until it is for sale.

I believe those legs are Minimate legs... But I could be wrong.

These figs are works of art, and it takes a talented genius to create them, but for me they go a little too far over the line to still be LEGO figs.
I have no problem with custom hats, helmets, armour, gear. LEGO makes new moulds for these all the time. Stickers are fine too, since LEGO makes new torsos, etc, all the time.
But the basic fig's dimensions remain the same. And tampering with these is what drives these over the line for me. I can be wowed by their appearance, and admire the mind that created them, but I have no desire to own any.
For the same reason, I want, and have, no basketball players and no peace-toned figs. When the basic figs changes, you've got major problems.

Interestingly, I never said any of my "other" customs
WERE Lego. You guys are assuming way too much
with some of this stuff that I do.
FYI - I've been working on a minifig of my own. It won't
be anything like a Lego minifig, and why would it be?
And just because I post pics of it on Brickshelf, doesn't
mean it's something I'm pushing for Lego minifigs.
I have absolutely no intentions of trying to pawn off
my own design as a Lego piece. That's just dumb.
Anyway, if you want to comment on it - fine.
Please keep in mind what I just said.

I will point out that you mis-stated your viewpoint above: YOU have major problems (with the customization), not the modifier. I mean that in a non-perjorative fashion.

We rightfully assumed that this was somthing to do with LEGO because this is a LEGO Customs Forum, not simply a customs forum.Blasterman wrote:Interestingly, I never said any of my "other" customs

Maybe you should go back and check who posted this.
I'm only clarifying on WHAT Kevin posted.
Do you remember this -
"sorry...but I'm not much into customs anyway."
Then why do you comment here, exactly? Do you not like
what I do, or the customs that I make? Are you jealous
of me for some reason? I only guessing, because I can't
figure it out. What is your problem?
Ooh, I know! You must like me, and can't leave me alone.

I didn't like the legs to much either. They make the minifig way to tall. They don't look like lego. I do like the arm idea though. I thing they need to be altered a little bit. I was looking through blasterman's gallery, and I really like the World War Two customs.
I agree with the others. The legs don't look like Lego. I do like a lot of your customs.

Man, why does everyone have to be so combative all the time? Seriously...
Anyway, I like the legs. I think that they're an interesting variation on the LEGO fig. Sure, it's not to scale with a standard fig, but I see it more as a way to take a minifig to the next level, rather than a new element to be used with existing pieces.
You say that you're going to be making your own minifig (and I'm assuming accessories to go along with it). What will this fig be like? Are you going to continue making LEGO compatible accessories?
