Run to Target now

Post by Bruce N H »

Just a heads up, LEGO has started hitting 75% off at some Target stores in their semi-annual clearance! Boxes never last very long on the shelves at this level of discount. Heck, I even got a Jack Stone Pirate set, figuring it was worth it for the pieces I will use at that price. Highlight for me was the Shriek Shack for $12. I missed the Hogwarts--a couple of weeks ago they had one at full price, so I've been hoping I could snag it at deep discount. Apparently someone else was on the prowl as well.

Thanks for the heads up. I have gotten some good stuff at Target's big clearance sale. Have to go check tomorrow.

Must get some tomorrow!!! Time for me to do a little raiding in the mall after work and... picking up Anna.

Thanks for the heads up. NY has lots of AFOLs.

I'm checking out Target tomorrow before I leave for vacation, then! Good thing NC is pretty short on AFOLs...

Thanks, Bruce!

Anyone who said "tomorrow" will be lucky to find anything (or their store didn't go to 75% off yet). I got a half dozen of the Vladek Encounters for $2.24, and that was it (and that was only because they put them in a second place on the same shelf). Two Targets completely and utterly wiped out of all KK1 (yes, I checked the end caps and dedicated sale aisles).

Edit in: make that four Targets utterly devoid of KK2.1.

Check several Targets. I have gone to several different ones and found good deals but never the same at any store. I got a few KK2 and SW stuff but i missed some of the better stuff as it was picked up before I could get there. If you have a Frys Market place check there too. I got a bunch of 05 sets for 50% off a month ago.

My targets were completely cleaned out. Even the bionicle sets on sale were gone. My local walmarts are also out of most sets from last year that arent Jack Stone, duplo, bionicle, or tubs.

I think that even as the initial thread was started it was too late. Apparently a few will have been lucky this weekend, but it was on Monday or Tuesday when the discounts hit, and at 75% off you have not only AFOL, but ebay hawks and grandmas who want toys for when the grandchildren visit snapping them up.

That being said, two weekends ago I found a newly opened target with a full compliment of KKII, HP, and Spidey II at 75% off. Let me say that my cart was overflowing and I was carrying additional boxes. Ahhh yes for once the Lego gods hath smiled upon me!

The Targets in my area are too out of Lego on clearance. Luckily, I did pick up the sets I really wanted when they hit 50% off a few weeks ago, plus I had a nice plunder from all the Media Plays.
