Glad I am not the only one.

My sister and I both collect "primitive" weapons, meaning any weapon that doesn't require an explosion to function. We usually get each other something along that line. Last year, she got me throwing stars and I got her a cheap full tang katana that she wanted to add to her hiking gear. She wanted a cheap one since it will get used and beat up.

My only problem is that I regard any katana cheaper than about $ 2500 as useless

Yes, I have some strange Shinto ideas about kami etc. Don´t ask
But maybe I should get a cheap training katana sometime. I´m getting tired of my bokken.
But I like all kinds of "real" weapons, and with real I mean weapons that don´t need exlposions to function as you said.
I think I´m straying dangerously off-topic here. Sorry
And I forgot to add the Chess Set to my wishlist. Phew, now I´m almost on-topic at least
