Post by mscannell »

Here is a crusader's watch tower to warn of advancing enemy troops in the classic castle category.

Folder when public.

The pics are a bit blurry but I think it looks good. A fairly simple design but i like how you made it open up. The roof also looks good.

I have been having trouble taking pictures with a digital camera and getting them to be clear. I have tried a lot of things, but to no avail.

Nice MOC, I like the use of 45degree underside slopes on the upper stories, it makes them look like they are made out of hewn wood rather then carefully carved as they would using arch peices, gives it a more military feel.

As for photography, try this thread at Classic Space (I know blasphemy to mention spacers here  ) But these are great tips for photographing any MOC, most questions relevant to blurryness are not answered in the first couple of posts but are sorted out later in the thread so keep reading!

Hope it helps (to everyone else sorry for bring the heathen worship of spaciness to this haven of castle joy  )

Cheers,
Mark.

I think the roof really makes the whole MOC. If it had a boring roof, it would just be ho-hum design, but with that interesting roof, it really looks great. Also a great idea to add ladders, I can't stand it when people build things that can't actually be used. Just a pet peeve of mine I guess. Nice job!!
