Bayonet

Post by E of Alshire »

All of you crazy purists should be watching this guy. He's a customizer, but he's got some great brick-built minifig stuff as well, such as this bayonet.

Yeah, I've seen his stuff around B-shelf. Another one that I like a lot is this guy. The use of the Belville crown as an ornament or crest is really cool, and you can also do it to DM helmets, and crowns too (though I don't know why you would ). One of his customs I like is this one. I just realized how it was made, even though I first saw it about a month or more ago.

They (we? :?) are not crazy! :D. (I'm a purist for now, but I might customize one day [and don't ask me to join your ranks].)
Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

Looks good, but kinda bulky.

It's not bad. I think there could be a better way, though. Maybe some customization?

There are several better ways I've seen, but this is the best "purist" option, and that's what I was highlighting.

Hmmm, I agree, too bulky, but what to do--while still keeping up the "purity." I was thinking tape, and then perhaps a rubber band. So...whenever this is public... (Has this been done before?)

Another picture --naturally the first saber I pulled out is one that seems to have been chewed on...

I think the first solution is too bulky. Kandu's option looks better but still doesn't quite do it for me. Bayonets are usually attached below the barrel. However, both of these options are workable.

I've been using that solution for a while...but I like the non-bulkiness of the rubber band solution more, especially as I just found a baggie of all my lego rubber bands...
