Wow...those are pretty good. I've never heard of this customizer before. Has anyone else?

Oh, that's Pharazon from over at MCN. I like these, although decals don't really appeal to me...

Yep, Pharazon has done a great job on these figs. I haven't seen them all put together like this before though, and I like them! The black RB elf helmet with the added on front piece is a really nice touch. Good job pharazon (and why the heck isn't he here at CC?).

Great job!
Very neat design of the helmet and the white tree shield.

These are very nice figs in and of themselves, but they don't say 'Numenorean' to me. Too spiky. O' course, I have a very limited knowledge of Tolkein, so I don't know if these are accurate or not. But they are quite nice.

Well, why don't you invite him? Unless, of course, you already have.Recluce wrote:and why the heck isn't he here at CC?

Learning French.
Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

Beautiful attention to detail with virtually every angle and surface considered. I forget the color schemes (if any) for Numenorians, but silver and black work as Minas Tirith elite guards in any case. Looks like the one helmet is a fusion of the bullet helm and shadow knight helmet similiar to mine, but seamlessly done with smoothing and polishing to get rid of the spangenhelm construction lines. I'm just blown away by the level of craftsmanship. The shaped shields are spectacular - okay, yeah, the one is kinda spikey looking, but I think the higher level of ornateness is appropriate for Numenoreans. The gold half-bead as shield boss is repeated in the mace to give it a great unifying touch. Some of the best figs I've ever seen.

Normally, I can't stand customs, but these look pretty detailed and well-thought out. The colouration is really excellent, but my main problem is that these guys (particularly the second warrior) look too spiky and crooked. Not really a very 'knights of good' look.
They'd look great as Haradrim or Easterlings, though.

Ar-Pharazon the Golden. Persecuted the faithful. Took the advice of Sauron. Raised a titanic army and assaulted Valinor to make war with the Valar and wrest from them eternal life. This directly caused the catastrophic downfall of Numenor. I wouldn't number him among the knights of good. Hopefully all of you can get over the "spikey look" now.Sir Kohran wrote:...but my main problem is that these guys (particularly the second warrior) look too spiky and crooked. Very well put TTK, thank you very much. Sorry it took me so long to opine here guys. Thanks for the honset comments here, it is a little surprising to find my customs show up here I suppose but a pleasent one. All of the designs for the Numenoreans were inspired by varoius artworks from Alan Lee mostly, with a bit of John Howe others. Any diversion from traditionalism was mostly due to my particular styling of course.TwoTonic Knight wrote: I wouldn't number him among the knights of good. As to why I haven't joined here before, that's a good question that may never have an answer.
