This minifig is......Black Falcon!

Black Falcon was released in 1984 for the Black Falcons. He has a special printed torso with the Black Falcon emblem and is one of the most popular castle minifigs.

Nice idea, I'm sure JoJo will love it!

I love the Black Falcons, they rank right up there with all the basic classic factions. This guy is very nice and clean, just black and blue. I hated it when LEGO put red hips or grey helmets on them, they look better like this.

This minifig is awsome, one of the best basic castle figs (soldiers) ever made.

Yep, I agree with you on the coloration thing. I remember switching the legs on the red-hipped ones around all the time because they would look out of place with the rest.

The Black Falcons are my favorite faction, and as such, this is one of my favorite figs. I only have four from the BFF re-release, but plan to buy many more. The color scheme is one of the best LEGO has ever given one of their products, and is very eye pleasing.

I have to say I just don't like the Black Falcons. There are just much more interesting factions as a whole.

That said, this guy isn't bad. A regular spearman that works well en masse or just patrolling alone (I only have one).

He's really cool. I've always liked him, and all the old soldiers and knights in general. I wish I had some.

Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

I don't necessarily like them a whole lot, but I have about 13 of the soldiers, so I love them because I have them. I thought the emblem was ok, but I prefer more livley and elaborate torso's. That's why my favorites was the King Leo's series. It had the most detailed soldiers and their helmets are awesome. They are similar to the french "Man-at-Arms" style of soldier.

I am a huge fan of the Black Falcons... Was when I was a kid, and again now that I'm getting back into castle. I have something like 30 of these guys now. They rock. Look cool, make a cool army.

And great for brikwars against my undead/shadow & rogue knights horde.

I love the Black Falcons, they are my second favorite faction (after the guys in 677). The color scheme is really well done. Also the emblem is fairly historically correct (as far Lego heraldry goes). They are truly one of the great factions!

Classic and classy!
The best heraldry TLC ever came up with - the combination of silver (white) and black in a single crest looks like the perfect symbol of balance. Always have deemed the BF as a neutral faction in my creations - the ones who bestow judgement upon the others.

Ugh!

I mean, really... boring old blue and black? And a flared helm?

Seriously, he needs his own face- with a beard, I say. Definitely, the face needs to be distinctive. And a name, like Ahsumduedious. And again, what's with the whole boring old blue? He seriously needs either dark blue, or light blue... oh! Wait, how about Morcian blue? Cool!

And the black has to go too. Monochrome is in these days. Only light highlighting, not this dual, evenly-matched blue-and-black. Morcian blue predominant with light highlights (dark bley would be coolest) is definitely the way to go.

And that flared helm totally needs to be replaced with a visored helm. Ahsumduedious needs something noble. Maybe a Rascus visor in Morican blue? With a Morcian blue helm, of course.

Finally, what's this I hear about him normally having a spear? And a brown one at that? Come on! Spears are the Stone Age! Swords are in these days- and the cool KK2 ones at that. I think a white one would go well with Ahsumduedious's colour scheme.

So, yeah, he totally needs a makeover.

Maybe that would be good for a general of sorts, but the unaltered fig is best for footsoldiers.

Ey, wanna bug me!? :-)

Naturally the Black Falcon as pictured is perfect as it is. It's a classic generic figure in a beautiful and believable coat of arms. I too prefer the version with black helmet and completely black legs because it looks darker and more menacing this way. Only later they (TLC) tried to bring more variety into this faction by adding first a red part to the trousers and later even give them grey legs and helmets. I can cope with the red part, though, as it adds like a festive touch to the figure, hence the red-black legs in the tournament tent 6035. But for marching Black Falcon soldiers I would rather go with completely black legs for the reason stated above.
So, yeah, he totally needs a makeover.
Oh yeah?

Wow. The main problem I really *had* with the blackfalcons is their lack of versitility- but you've shown me wrong!

Nice fig, I wouldn't mind a couple thousands of them.
This is really more of a infantry soldier, as it is, without modification.
BTW, I think Formendacil was being ironic.
