Steinford Kirche by Andreas Boeker

Post by jamitjames »

Hey all,

Today Andreas Boeker posted his amazing 12th century church at LAML. I think you should all take a look at it.

Here is some info about this MOC you will not find at the MOC Pages I have linked to:
builing this church took me 9 month, about 400 hours and about 40000 pieces. This enourmous number of pieces is the result of building all the fassade in snot.
I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait untill he posts more pictures.

Hi,

please let me correct you:

The "Dresdener Frauenkirche" you find here:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=201191

This MOC is from HoMa (Holger Matthes)

The church you have linked is an own creation from abhf (Andreas Böcker). He has build ist for his town called "Steinford". One picture:

other Buildings from Steinford:

Absolutely amazing! He must be an architect. The details are astounding. Chuireches are by far one of most interesting things you can build with lego.

Incredibly impressive. However, I think the accompanying buildings seen in the background are equally impressive, (For one thing, I think the proportions are better than those of the church), and really make the scene. The whole thing is an amazing accomplishment. Great work, and very inspiring.

Incidentally, additional images of the buildings mentioned above can be found here:

Yes, I understand that those pictures are not of the church Andreas made, but they are from the same LEGO event that his church was shown. I should have made that clear. My mistake.

Hey,

Fixed the title as per Jens' correction. I'll start another thread on Holger's church.
