Just noticed another great Keith Goldman production: MOCpage, Brickshelf

He takes LEGO bricks and stacks them on top of each other.

Seriously, thought, it's a great MOC. He did a great job on making it lively, but not too busy.

What blows me away is that in all of his scenes, the entire picture is taken up by LEGO. No furniture, pets, messes, or even a simple cloth background. It really transports the viewer to the land of the minifig. Absolutely stunning.

Too bad there aren't any "behind the scenes" shots! The diorama must be enormous...

Well, there is not really much to say that can describe how good this is. It is amazing.

His dioramas are amazing! If only I had the pieces to attempt something like that.

He's OK. I guess. Kinda. Its a little small, like a vignette really.

Keith, if you're listening (reading, whatever) are you coming to BrickFest again this year here in Portland? I'd love to see this up close, while passing gas in the general direction of anyone nearby wearing flannel.

You and Dr. Carney must have 51% of all the old light grey in North America! As usual I had to read the captions first, then go back and see the MOC. If funny was money you'd do alright.

His work is really fantastic, and quite inspiring. I really like how built the area in front of the steps, using Brick 1 x 2 with Grille. This effect looks great and adds to the whole scene.

The police mecha is also one of my favorite items in his work. Don’t get me wrong the whole thing is fantastic. I will be going back to his images and staring at them for some building tips.

Great work.

The even cooler thing is that, I do believe he says somewhere, the set was built to show off the tan ship in the middle. I may be mistaken, but I do remember reading something like that.

I cannot wait to get up to this level of ability, and have the pieces to use that ability. In the future...the future...
I ow it to wunztwice for directing me here.

Keith is a wild and crazy guy, that's for sure. The thing I like best about his creations is not that he's a great builder (which he is), but he always works in little vignette style stories into every one of his creations (when viewing his MOCpages).

Of course the idea that this MOC uses no baseplates just blows me away.

I like it of course, it's brilliant. I don't love it though. Compositionally it just doesn't hold together as well as some of his other works. The details are all very well executed, and the overall scale is amazing, but as a whole the proportions are uncomfortable and it seems to lack focus. It's a killer—I'm struggling with the same issues on a MOC of my own right now.
