LEGO Cafe Corner

Post by Blueandwhite »

Check out Eurobricks for pics of the new Cafe Corner! Once again, Eurobricks comes to the resuce with some awesome shot of what looks to be the best town set, well... ever!

I mean, WOW! Talk about an AFOL inspired design. Utterly gorgeous! I can only hope we see something like this done for Castle in the future.

OMG, that set is utterly gorgeous. I just saw it on Brickshelf and ran over here to post on it:

If you recall, we've seen a hint of this in a LEGO display at Frechen (see this drawing in particular). This line is supposed to launch in April. More is supposed to come out in the March issue of BrickJournal (wow, is there really going to be another issue that soon after the previous one?). I can hardly wait.

Indeed.

Eurobricks actually has a rumored list of sets in this line. They are as follows:

10178 = star wars walking AT AT ??? euro
10179 = millennium falcon 550 euro
10180 = ???
10181 = eiffel tower ??? euro
10182 = cafe 140,00 euro
10183 = trein 109,99 euro

I would expect that the unlisted set is one of the licenced vehicles shown at Frechen. According to the folks over there, the Eiffel Tower is going include over 3000 bricks! We've seen the Falcon, Train and now the Cafe. I can't say I've ever been this excited when it comes to LEGO!

Wow, I't so beautiful I can hardly believe this is real - I can't wait to make this building. This is a wonderful addition by TLG - it really looks like it was made by one of the better builders here on CC.

I especially like how the roof is structured - this really has the look and feel of a very nice MOC.
Knight Templar

I have to say, this is the sweetest and most awesome town set ever! Its just that I placed an order for the UCS falcon, and am still looking for 7264 (which kinda has an inflated mkt price now), and the august castle sets are coming soon, so its kinda hard to justify sinking another huge sum into a lego set. Hopefully I just lapse into an irrational mood and then get it :)

Looks good. I only hope they make more of these, because this one would look very lonely all by itself.

Though it appears Lego asked eurobricks to take down the pictures... I wonder if that means this thread will be locked soon?

Wow, there is a ton of stuff I could learn from getting that set - from new building techniques to interesting color combinations (that work)!

Huh... that doesn't make sense, since the pictures are also hosted on Lego's website! They ought to take them off their own site first!

On occasion set images become live on LEGO.com before they should. As this is the case and there has not been an official announcement, I removed the links to this set.

Hey,

I'll go ahead and unlock this. With the release of BrickJournal7, this has been officially announced. Check out BrickJournal for a review, a long article about the creation of this set, and lots of pics. Let the discussion recommence.

That is definitely a beautiful set. I want one, or two, or three. Words fail me, I'm stopping now... :shock:
