I had to vote for Crusaders vs Forestmen. First of all, they produced some of the best sets ever. More importantly, though, they epitomized classic medieval rivalries, like in Robin Hood. The bold knights from the large castles vs. the rag tag guerilla outlaws from the forest. Pure poetry.

Do I need to explain more?

My 2 cents,
I love that battle scene, so awesome!

Ha! You're all misguided. The Club, Crown, Cross, and Chevron Knighthoods versus the BF and Lion new guys. The Forestmen were the fringe who could go either way.

I guess this kinda dates me huh?

Didn't everyone have yellow castle factions fight each other?

My favorite is having the lion knights fight the knights procession knights.

Black Falcons and Crusaders. They seem like the longest rivalry ever.

My Personal favorite is Black Falcons Vs. Black Knights, but I like Crusaders and Black Falcons warring at the same time...

I chose the logical one.

I never cared for the idea of a pre-established rivalry. For me, each faction simply represented a different lord who could be rivals or allies with any of the other factions. I've never understood the appeal of amassing hundreds of the same faction to make a generic army of clone soldiers or the need for an established rivalry.

Sounds like a legal breif. "In the case of Castle v. Space all parties rise!" Now add the "doink doink" sound from "Law & Order," or maybe the Perry Mason theme.

As long as the votes don't have to coincide with established rivalries, I voted other because I think it would be neat to pit the wolfpack against the forestmen. This would be a very different kind of warfare from BF, Crusaders and the like. It would take place in the woods and swamps in small skirmishes, ambushes, and assassinations. After the fog rises, which faction will maintain its honor amongst thieves?

Futuron vs. Blacktron was pretty good, but there was a long standing animosity between Crusaders and Black Falcons, even in Idea books.

I've not heard of any doinking occurring in my courtroom(s)...

Although nothing takes the place of a classic rivalry between the crusaders and forestmen, I have to confess that I've often considered this too - it would be really cool to see a sort of gorilla warfare between these two masters of the wilderness. :)
Knight Templar

Hello!

Image vs. Image.

No, seriously. In 1984 I opened the catalogue and on page 18/19 I, being totally awestruck, witnessed one (one!) Black Falcon soldier attacking the King’s Castle. This Black Falcon has been my hero ever since, and the Lion Knights his natural rivals.

All I need to do is look at old lego action pictures and the rivalry between the black knights and Crusaders captivates me. Im surprised to find it at about 6% in the poles, but most of the choices are really good anyway...
