Thats awesome ! :D
the new torso's look great!
As much as I would want to believe this, taking a quick look at the Jester's torso it looks very much as a sticker to me..
Maybe it is a sticker because this is a prototype?

in this picture, the torso's are stickered too...

This would be incredible if it turns out to be bona fide.

If this is a true set, it is certainly one of the best surprises ever. It bodes well that a peasant class is featured in the cover art, let's hope that is but a taste of things to come. I believe that the broom is a grand accessory, but if they also work up a new-brown (any shade PLEASE) of the classic Pitchfork into this set then I will commit every dollar earned to CASTLE 2008!

It does look fake, but I imagine that's partly due to the preliminary design and poor quality of the picture.

I don't think it's fake though. People who make fake sets generally try to make something too spectaular that would get us all wound up. Someone making a fake would have included more than 9 figures and likely would have included a pitchfork.

Its got to come with some Castle equipment, as there are only 9 figures. The figures I count are:

1. Jester
2. Peasent woman
3. Knight
4. Soldier
5. Dwarf
6. Black Skeleton
7. Goblin
8. Witch
9. White Skeleton

I don't know what that gold thing is in the Castle, maybe just a fuzzy King?

True.... This looks awsome. But I can't help but feel tricked. (When you've fallen for as many tricks as I have you get this feeling a lot) As my dad says: If it sounds to good to be true: it is. But I pray I'm wrong. This is a good army builder (Classic guys as well).

Is it just me or does the 'peasant girl' have the same face and hair as the princess?

Father Christmas can be seen in his sleigh...wonder if that fits in with the story canon

Well I agree it looks rather fake but then this could just be a prototype, which is not unlikely given that there is almost a year before its release (assuming this will be released in November 08).

I think it's a Christmas tree.

I hope this set is real, it would be a great way to get some civilians and a lot of other figures for a low price. :D

Trust me folks, this is real. Our Graphist Admin, hinckley, over at Eurobricks (also the owner of Brickzone) posted this thanks to his source, who he refers to only as Colonel Sanders

It was first released here, a scan from a dealers catalog.

How do we know this is real? Well he has provided Eurobricks with several images thus far of several upcoming lines, including City, Technic, Mars Mission, Bionicle, and Racer with another surprise that'll be revealed in a month or two

So cast out your doubts and fears, this is as real as it gets. Start saving up! You don't want to miss it like I almost did with those Tic Tac Toe sets :?

It is definitely real. Colonel Sanders is very trustworthy. And as SW4J points out, Colonel Sander also posted a large number of other sets that are again definitely real. Along with the the surprise in 2 months (And it is pretty cool)! :D

But on the point of the Calender itself, it looks fantastic. I can't help but wonder what the sets in it are like.

"In 2008 we have two Impulse items, six new retail products including account exclusives and a very special item coming at the end of the year too (wait and see!). That’s all I’m telling you, but I’m sure you guys will be able to dig out some information from somewhere."- Mathew Ashton, Creative Designer

Actually, we have 5 impluse items, the 6 retails sets (including the advent calendar), so whats the special item and the account exclusives?

I believe everyone's inferring that the special item is this advent calender :P

As for the impulse, we have the knight and magician, those are the two...not to mention the other one out later in the year...am I missing two that you know of?
