Great idea Tony!

One question:
Can our story be already made? For instance, you making an Ikros vignette? I wanted to make a vig about the Chronicles of Monarth.

I also have a question
All four vignettes must be either permanently connected or able to connect together, and must be able to rest flush against or share 2 sides with its' neighbor vignettes.
Could you please explain the bold part? I dont understand what 'flush' means in this context.
Thank you!
flush –adjective
1. even or level, as with a surface; forming the same plane: The bottom of the window is flush with the floor.
2. having direct contact; being right next to; immediately adjacent; contiguous: The table was flush against the wall.
There can't be gaps between the two vignettes.

As long as the story being told can be understood without knowing the background or having accompanying text.

Interesting contest. Just wish I could come up with a good idea for it.

thank for clearing that up guys.

SavaTheAggie, do you have any idea when you will make the 'entries thread'? I've got my first entry ready, and would like to submit it. :)
You want a piece of me?!?!

Great contest! I think I'll build something. But I'm not sure about one thing: do the scenes have to be created on 16x16 square or it may be for example 8x32 base with a story 'taking place' from thle left to the right side?

It should be online now.

For the purposes of this contest, it needs to be a 16x16 square. That isn't to say you couldn't create 4 individual vignettes that you could line up to be 8x32, but they need to be able to connected as a 16x16.

Hi again ~ just wanted to clarify rule #4: overlap ~ I know what it means vaguely, but could you clarify it.

So we can build each as tall as we want?

It means your vignettes don't have to stay within the 8x8 footprint, so long as what overhangs doesn't interfere with the other vignettes and they're ability to sit next to eachother without gaps.

Yes, there is no height restriction (though remember bigger is not always better).

Sorry for bothering You, but its still unclear I think:
Does it mean that the total size of the single vignette is unlimited as long as its BASE (only) doesnt exceed 8x8 studs (and the same applies to the whole set which base has to fit in 16x16) ???
(Or - can the vigs grow up and to the sides?)

Yes, this is my understanding of the rule, but they must fit together in a 2vig x 2vig square with a combined base size limit of 16studs x 16studs.

It would be best for an admin to clarify though.
