We have two, one for the girls (wife and daugther), one for the boys (My and son and I). We are doing day by day. We noticed that the boys' calendar has the tray in backwards, so our toys don't match the pictures on the flaps. Too far into it now. We're really enjoying it.

I waited, but that's because I've been so busy. Now, I can't find it. It was in my dining room before Thanksgiving. I think I recall putting it in the basement when I was helping my wife prepare the house for our 13 guests. Now, it's nowhere to be found. And I don't think anyone would have taken it.

I waited till just last night to order mine, shipping cost a fortune. But hopefully it will be worth it! It should arrive in a week or so. Can't wait.

Sounds like me. I waited as well. I haven't had much time for LEGO and will have to dig my two sets out.

I did wait, and for pure fun I decided to assembled each daily subset inside its bag. Sometimes it is a tight fit, but you can just manage to pull it off.
The Jester turned out to be the biggest chalenge, because its hood was individually wraped in its own little bag (inside the bag), and it's no easy feat to open the innermost bag without popping the outher one. With some patience, it was possible though.

I waited until December. I would have opened one a day, too, but unfortunately I didn't get mine until December 26th, which was a bit too late. I plan to use the witch and some of her accessories to build a magic shop in one of my customized Medieval Market Village buildings in the future. The table, stool, and food items would be nice to add to the village, as well. I hope LEGO decides to make a 2009 Castle Advent Calendar. I see they've been doing that with the City theme and I think it would be great for us Castle fans to get one every year, too.

My boys opened it day by day, taking turns, in December. The highlight by far for me was when I got home from work one night and asked them what they got that day. My wife just laughed and said that they didn't even bother putting it together.

There she was, the jewel of the set, the peasant woman. Unassembled and unloved in her clear plastic baggy. The one minifigure that us AFOLS drooled over the most. MY BOYS AGED FOUR AND SEVEN WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH HER. This is exactly why there aren't more ladies in Lego sets.

Naturally I snapped her together and added her to the ongoing Christmas party on our Lego table. Every party needs more lovely ladies; my boys will learn this eventually.
