Sorry if there's any confusion; when I said "add picture" I meant ad one at the end of my mesage, a coat-of-arms sort of thing

Hey Mr. D,
All you need to do is a tiny bit of formatting. I don't normally have a pic in my signature, but I put it there to show you that what I am telling you will work. I don't have coat of arms as yet so some dwarves will have to do.
Here is what I did, Insert an image into a message using the Img button. Copy the code including your image URL into your Signature box in your profile page. Click submit at the bottom of the page and voila you have an image in your Signature file. Of course you can always just write the image coding in the file instead of doing the copy and paste method, but I am lazy. This is what your code should look like except with a valid image url and no -> <-
-> <-
Hope this helps,
Will

hey guys im new so i would just like to say hi to u all.
i think the fright nights are good beacause they have a wide sellection (sp) of minifigs. the best have to be the black falcons they are proper warriors and will fight for their rights and not follow orders from a king and from some psycho

Welcome to CC jimjo. I would have to agree with you on the Black Falcons. But I think my fav. would be the Crusadors. For several reasons;
1.) Lots of figs. Over the years there have been quite a few sets with many differant figs that all fit into a regular army.
2.) Lots of sets. A good selection of differant kind of sets, from castles and siege towers, to ballistas and inns.
3.) The sets are made very well. I have always injoyed the basic strutural design of these sets.
4.) And Finaly, The Kings Castle (6080) is the first large set I can remember saving my pennies for and sucsessfully purchesing on my own
anyway, just my own thoughts.

Hi lego-lovers! First post here! Red Bean referred me to this forum, but as I can see, there are a few "faces" whom I know. Like Troy of course...and I thought I saw Anthony Sava (name?)-author of hero Garalt and the story about the four dragons (Great story BTW!). A couple of others too. Some of you might already know me..I'm known as "Dan" on Bricklink....no "The Dan", just Dan. hehe.
Back to the point of the topic. I must say I really like Black Knight. It seems to be the only theme where lego has designated certain monarchs and knights in dominion over their troops. Just like in time of chivalry.
They appeal to me more as the dark knights from the medEVIL ages. Their style of castle is good, emblem is nicely detailed also. Set playability is very good too.
First of all Welcom Dan. It is always good to see new talent join our group.

I have in fact not read those stories as of yet. I will certenly move it up on the list of things I want to do however. As for the question... ahhh weapons... Well I think I have a fondness for the black sword. I suppose because it is so rare. I use mine for a medevil "SEAL team". An elite group of 6 figs that kick some serious a@$. They also are armed with the black spear and cross bows. Now I do have to ask though, are balistas considered weapons for the purpose of the question. If so I would have to say that the siege cart is my favorite. Set number 6012. This set was my first experiance with SNOT, and I was just thrilled with it.
several of these would pose a powerful threat to any castle defenders.

i have noticed that the older, classic sets are more popular such as the king leo faction is not very popular but the black falcons are ( get in there!)

Nostalgia is part of it. But we like the older set modularity, piece selection, and color choices. The sets were simple, straightforward, and semi-realistic.
The older sets are great I agree, but how come Lego never makes them available in stores? Never saw BSB, BFF wasn't around either, nor was Siskind's building....
Lego Direct offers exclusive sets. Certain stores carry these sets. Usually they are only catalogue exclusives. In that way they dont compete with current product lines. It is frustrating when SAH stuff is better than some store sets. On the other hand, some SAH sets released to the stores do not do well (like the Yoda Sculpture).
Poor yoda, a great parts set when it was reduced to $44 CDN back in the TRU purge a few months ago. Wish I had bought more... but at full retail not in a million years.
I can't really compare the BFF and the Guarded Inn to Yoda though. The general perception of a sculpture as opposed to system sets complete with minifigs is completely different.
I wish they would rethink the whole S@H exclusive and do a run of BFF's and Guarded Inn's at a wide retail release, it couldn't hurt after the year they had last year. Sometimes chances pay off. Lets hope they might give them a try in their "new" direction.
