I like the jutting out parts on the left side of the second one, as well as the tower on the right side. The first one, though, is nice.
I must admit I lean slightly towards the second one. It also looks like there's an area with a really tall ceiling and stuff in the middle of it, which would make an awesome area for a "great hall" or something.
Just my opinion.
God bless,

Romans 10:13 - For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Luke 13:3b - Except you repent, you shall all likewise perish.

If I had to pick just one, I would build the first one. If I had the bricks to do so, I would build them both. The first looks like more of a challenge. Also, it would depend what Hero/Heroine I was building it for.

My vote is for Stokesay. That castle has very interesting features which are not shown in that picture. A few years ago I designed a timber frame gatehouse loosely based on Stokesay's: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=24491
I have to go against the flow this time and vote for Keep #2 (Stokesay). I looks more like a castle to me, the first looks too much like crazy modern architecture. This is probably a stereotype, but I really don't like huge sloping roofs on #1 at all.
