Name: Frederick Essars

Background: Fredrick is the eldest son of Alfred Essars, a baron overlooking one of the small isles that form the Black Falcon Islands. Frederick received a good education, and being the son of a nobleman, can wield a sword fairly well. He often travels abroad, seeking adventure most of the time, but sometimes representing his fatherŐs barony at the royal court.

Other: While both Frederick and his father are staunchly loyal to the Black Falcon kingdom, AlfredŐs policies of late have been to keep out of any embroilments, not wanting to risk his open and venerable holdings. He and many others in the area have been able to do so mainly because of the salutary neglect that the homeland has treated them with, caring only for the tribute extracted from the islands each year.

Background: Randolph is the son of a prominent Falcon lord, and because of his fatherŐs influence, he was able to rise to a high position in the Black Falcon Army. He is a lieutenant commanding a subdivision of the 3rd corps, and has been highly successful in what he does due to his leadership skills and his intelligence.

Equipment: Carries a long sword and a shield. He also wears a suit of heavy armor.
Other: Randolph is loyal to the Falcons, but in a different way than most. He sees things as they are, and power has not corrupted him as it did to Falconis, Durlass, and even Martin. After the Bloodvaine Epic, he joined the Rebel Resistance.

Background: Peter is a seasoned veteran on the Black Knight army. He has been commissioned to command one of the galleys that roam the seas between the Black Falcon Islands and those owned by the Black Knights. He is a privateer and makes raids on Black Falcon ships and small ports. He is gruff and often unforgiving, but his leadership qualities make him a valuable asset to the Black Knight army.

Background: Litzcrack deserted from the Falcon army along with some fourty other soldiers when it was mobilized just before the Bloodvaine war. Now he and his group are little more then thieves, living off the land, burning, raiding, and pillaging as they please.

Name: The Marquis de’ Durlass
Age: 43
Background: The Marquis was brought up in a rich family, and hopelessly spoiled as a child. Ironically enough, this had no effect on him and he grew up to be a ruthless and scheming man, albeit a bit thickheaded in matters of foreign and domestic policy. Early on, he took whatever opportunities he could, elevating himself in the twisted and confusing maze of Falcon court politics. By the time of Falconis XXVIII’s death, he was the foremost noble and unofficially assumed command of the Falcon Government, using the young and weak Falconis XXIX as a puppet.
