Well, one way to handle it would be to take sand blue or dark bley instead. That, or framing the face with hair or armor so that it's possible to go with another head color.

Re: If you could bring back any faction?

For me, my Castle experience pretty much started with the Forestmen - if I would buy any classic sets, that's where I would start, and if I could bring back any faction, they would be the one.

Aside from the Nostalgia, they also happen to be the most radically original faction.

Re: The Skeleton King!

Ah, the blessings TLC brought to monster builders when they released Spy Clops... :D I like that one a lot. Too bad the Grievous torso is kind of hard to get, or I would gladly copy that one into my skeleton army. ;) If you want an all-white connection, consider a 1x1 tile with clip on top of a roun...

Re: Drow designs

Why do Roaglaan's Drow smell bad? Because they have no nose.

Jokes aside, I think that's much better - the eyebrows and eye color are dead on. I'd love to see it on a minifig. :)

Re: Scorpions

If it wasn't for the yellow minifig head, I would've thought that you had posted a greyscale picture. Honestly, I like the metallic red goodness that is the original scorpion torso, and the greyscale version, well, sort of pales in comparision. It does match the shield nicely, though. It's just that...

Re: Elm Castle

Awesome landscaping and interesting architecture. The castle manages to look both homely due to the tudor style houses and sturdy and unmoving thanks to the giant tower. I look forward to when the folder goes public so I can have a look at the details. :D Edit: Now that the folder's public, I can sa...

Re: Mesa Ladrillo

Very nice and original. I especially enjoy the simple, yet effective patterns on the houses. Did you build them with interior?

The one problem I could see is that the rock and floor look a bit monolithic. Maybe you could add some sand, rocks or paths...

Re: Little Robots by QB22

Neat. They are sort of cute, and the design looks easily adaptable. :)

Are they supposed to hover? Personally, I think I'd like them better if they walked. Or rolled.

Re: Granite Pulverizer

I beefed up the saws on the front end to create a Mark II, if anyone cares. :P Now we're talking. Good thing you did away with those tiny handsaws. :D On the other side, the layout of the saws doesn't quite look like the Granite Grinder anymore - the front end would need to be more pointed and narr...

Re: Drow designs

Without much but a general idea about the subject matter, I'd expect a bit more cliché-ed BDSM-ish, gothic designs from Drow. (Well, except for Drizzt...) Also, don't they worship some weird spider goddess? So I'd say spider (net?)-ish design elements would be fitting. Other than that, that's some n...

Re: Bonner's keep

Looks like you're aiming pretty high with that one, judging from the sheer size of your baseplate. Nice. Personally, I think your walls and the gate towers look a little low. In my humble opinion, the castle would look a lot more serious if you raised them by a few more bricks. I think the gate coul...

Re: LEGO.com Pick A Brick Price Explosion

I don't want to terribly side track, but are the skelton heads in PAB different from what they were before the update? It does seem they changed the skeleton heads - the one before was the "evil" design, now it seems to be the classic one. Evil skull: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemP...

Call me a sadist, but I somehow want to see it destroyed in an epic battle, then abandoned, overgrown by nature and used as a bandit hideout, and finally turned into a modern-day tourist trap.

Re: New Designs

Definitely nice ones - I especially like the female torso. But then, who doesn't like armored bikini tops?

From a more realistic point of view, I think your female orc looks a bit too clean and attractive for an orc. Also, it seems to be missing a waistline and, err... cleavage.
