Fireproof keep atop motte

Inner and outer bailey surrond a keep perched atop a steep motte. The side of the keep and inner bailey have horse hide attached to prevent fire.

A motte-and-bailey is a form of castle, with a wooden or stone keep situated on a raised earthwork called a motte, accompanied by an enclosed courtyard, or bailey, surrounded by a protective ditch and palisade.

The Brown Bear Castle

part 8 of the Bear Claw Storyline.

With Gortaine finishing up the King's Orders, Gorang has decide to go back to the Brown Bear Castle to meet with the Elders and discuss a new direction within the Clan.

The Castle is the original Bear Claw Clan keep, and was Built by Gorang's father and his men. It is now deep in Bear Clwas country, and is a sacred destination.

Gorang arrives and is met by his brother Krunt, keeper of the eternal flame of the Bear's Heart.

Viking Riverside Fortress.

After years of raiding the coast, finally the Vikings decided that it was more effective to keep a permanent presence in the Viltshire County. As such the fortress of Volkivic on the banks of the Seeltee River.

Wolfpack Motte and Bailey

A motte and bailey fortress for the Wolfpack, which serves as both a fortress and home. Details include a palisade wall surrounded by a moat, a gate house, timber keep, house, black smith, goat pen and storage pit. The fortress is surrounded by trees and other plants.
