Thanks, everybody! Also, here's a variation on the chicken -- a rooster: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/CountBlockula/Models/Zoo/Rooster/thumb/01.jpg_thumb.jpg which is really just the same thing, but with a second tooth plate beneath each wing and on the tail to add some feather colour variation...

Hiya! :D I had meant to post this on Classic Castle last night, but got totally side-tracked. I'm so glad you guys like it! Minifig hips as door hinges: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/CountBlockula/Models/HipHinge/thumb/01.jpg_thumb.jpg (Those are Technic half-pins w/ studs in the top two 1x1 rou...

the best pic yet of that odd transparent skelly skull from IJ4: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2200/2276657754_2ee97305d9_m.jpg I took that one. It may not have had the gigantic lens attachments and stuff that everyone else's cameras did, but my point-and-shoot was definitely good for two...

Yup, just like with the minotaur, the studs of the 1x1 bricks are connected to the lower of the two holes on the backs of the minifig legs. The 1x1x2/3 cheese slopes are then attached to the bottoms of the 1x1 bricks using Technic half pins with studs.

Thanks, guys, I'm glad you like him. :)

And, here's my minifig of Pan, using the same technique for the legs:

Yup, that's exactly what it is. :)

Minotaur *and Pan*

Hi! :D I have no idea if anyone's tried making legs like this before or not. But I was playing around last night, discovered it for myself for the first time, and thought it'd work great on a minotaur. So, here he is! :) (The hammer is taken directly from the Dwarves Mining set.) http://www.brickshe...

Yup, that's the part -- the blue technic half pin with stud.

And, I agree: he's both creepy AND cute. LOL

I can take pics from other angles, too, if anyone's interested.

And, thanks, I'm glad you guys like him! :D

I'm in NELUG :D

My name's Mike Crowley, and I've been a member of NELUG for a few years now. I'm not sure about any upcoming shows, but I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting -- hope you can make it!

Feel free to write me if you have any questions at all. :)

And, just for Classic Castle (since monkeys are more "castle" than "space" anyway), here's a preview pic I took earlier today of Donkey Kong:

Thanks, Bruce, for this thread -- as always, you rock! And, thanks to everyone else -- I always REALLY appreciate feedback. Yoshi was the most tricky one to build so far -- his shape was so unique. There's a lot of SNOT in this MOC. He's the type of model where every piece is not only essential to t...
