North March Castle
At first the ‘castle’ was only a watch tower built on the wild but relatively quiet North March of the Elven Kingdom to ensure the borders were vigilant. It remained so for nearly five hundred years but after a series of devastating raids the Elf Lord of the March built a strong stone keep to discourage further raids. Then only a hundred years after the keeps creation a massive barbarian army swept in from the west and destroyed much of the surrounding lands but they could not take the keep and the small garrison held out for eight months until the Elf King’s army arrived and defeated the horde. Soon after the Elf King took control of the keep and rebuilt it into one of the most formidable fortifications in his realm, North March Castle. It has sense seen only one small attempted siege which ended with the attackers running out of provisions, a deterrent to all who might assail the might of the elves.

Scot Hobelar
Hobelars were one of the few types of soldiers of the late medieval period that are the least known. Contemporary with the feared English longbow they often get overlooked. While they may not have been as vital to the outcome of battle as the English longbowman they were used as light cavalry and to move infantry about more quickly than others purely on foot. Originally from Ireland, the Hobelar was so useful they soon found themselves in armies all over Europe. English armies often used these hobelars coupled with mounted archers and men at arms to give their armies incredible flexibility and mobility in war. This Hobelar is from Scotland and is currently serving under a French battalion in Castile. He has his spear, aketon (a padded coat), bascinet, an axe, a shield, of course his mount and some supplies for his travels.

The Great Rampart
For nearly a hundred years the Great Rampart of the Kingdom of Eastwood remained in disuse. For the reigns of two kings the wars that Eastwood was engaged in were in neighboring lands and the realm had had relative peace. The new king, a boy of only fifteen now ordered a great array, one in five of the peoples of the land were to mend the fallen rampart as news of the great Sutlann army mustering in force arrived. Already several skirmishes have been carried out and now the workers keep their arms ever at the ready. Even the king and his royal guard work tirelessly to complete the rampart hoping it will protect the Kingdom of Eastwood as it had in the past.

Troll Warrior
Many of the fiercest warriors in the realm have learned to late the error of trespassing the dark eaves of the Trollwood. Armed with many types of weapons, many formed of the horns and other remains of enemies and-or their meals, they might be crude and simple but coupled with the natural strength of a troll they are some of the most feared weapons imaginable but in the hands of a troll warrior they mean nearly sure death for any who crosses their path.
