A lifetime's work...

First, the basics at Knight School - learning how to rescue a Damson in Distress, and various other basics besides.
Then, travel to far-away places in search of knowledge, to broaden the mind and encourage understanding. Preferably a year-long internship, living as the locals do.
Finally, after a lifetime of training, time to perform Knightly Deeds. Depicted is our hero challenging the Black Knight at the Tree of Shields, alluding to Arthurian Legend.

Becoming a True Knight

A true Knight perseveres. A true Knight fights with honour. A true Knight leads his men with courage.

The idea was to have the same knight-in-training throughout every vig, but aging (notice, different hair, and faces and accumulating more Knightly attire.) The first vignette is him performing menial tasks such as polishing tarnished armour in the King's armoury as a young boy. The second vignette is him as a teenage Squire competing in a tournament. The third was the vignette I had the most trouble realising, but in the end it was supposed to be him in defending Jerusalem in the Holy Land with his men, fighting as a true Knight would, for his God and the King.

Knight Testing

The king's enforcers are testing soldiers who want to become knights by making them perform three feats.
The first feat is to scale a vertical wall.
The second feat is to defeat a wild boar without a weapon.
The third feat is to skewer a falcon on the wing with a crossbow quarrel.

I got the idea for the feats from the movie The Court Jester

The Three Stages

In the land of Bethel, when you become a page, you first must learn to overcome your most basic fears, like heights, and water, and sharp rocks.

When a page has progress to a certain level, he is then accepted into one the three Houses of Knights as a squire.

And as a squire he learns the more delicate parts of being a knight, such as diplomacy.

To save the life of thy lord

Not all knights went through a fourteen year training to be an elite soldier, some were promoted instantly for some great act of battlefeild valor. The first scene we see our hero saving the wounded king from an orcs spear. In the second he parades through the city in recognition of his loyalty and valor. Finally in the third scene his now recovered king knights him in the throne room with the bishop as his witness.

Training a Bear Claw Knight

The Bear Claw Clan has decided in order to battle the crown armies, they must create their own knights. Gorang has created a set of test to push the page to his limits. The first test is the Leap of Faith, in which the page must prove his bravery in from of one of his mentors. After passing some basic bravery and loyalty tests, the page is brought to the training grounds to have his first Bog Riding lesson. The Bog is the Bear Claw's version of a horse, and is an integral part of a Knight's training. The final step before becoming a knight of the Bear Claw Clan, the page must stand on the carpet of blood and recite the oath to Gorang himself.
